Strategy of the Week- (May 19th- May 25th)- Thank you for joining LACOE's workshop! As promised, here’s the Musical Cones activity, designed to teach the concepts of Consent and Rejection. To set up the activity, arrange small cones in a circle. Have each child stand next to a cone. Start the music and play for 5 seconds before stopping it. Instruct the student to ask a peer if they would like to switch places with them. If their classmate declines, the student remains at their cone. Resume the music and continue the process, encouraging children to ask their classmates if they’d like to switch.
